From Gordon:
The snow was the best we have had so far this season. We headed up past Onion Valley and took a left, heading up to Black Mountain. We made it a good way until Gary ran into a tree that stopped him in his tracks. We headed back down, made a left, and drove to the end of Monumental Creek. While Gary was breaking the trail to the end, I took a side trail with Tom in tow as far as possible until the road became too narrow, and the drop-off was so far down it made my hind end pucker. We backed up and headed back down the hill.
Gary, Jim, and Jeff were off playing on another hill, while Tom and I headed back down towards Onion Valley. My A.D.H.D. kicked in as I found another side trail to explore. Tom started making his way down toward Onion Valley while the rest of us were playing on side trails. After a bit of not knowing exactly where everyone was, we finally reconnected and headed back down. Good thing that all of the trails dead end and there is only 1 way in and out. We ended up airing back up around 4:30 p.m.-- Great snow day!!!
