From Gordon:
Snow conditions were great. We ran our trails for the event even making it higher up Black mountain than our previous run. Overall great day. We only had to winch 1 time.
We ran Glacier again yesterday which has so far been the most challenging this and last year. Broke snow at a snail's crawl most of the day. We took a new side trail to the right at the start of Texas HIll for about 2.5 miles then decided to turn around because it just kept on going. It took what seemed like forever to get to Onion Valley. We took a left at the bathrooms and headed up the hill. We could not get as far on the left trail as previous but we did make it to the end on the right trail. Turned around and headed towards Black Mountain on Montague at just slightly faster than a snail's crawl. Drove up Black mountain for about 1/2 hour then turned around. Slow go the entire way up. If snow conditions don't get better then we will be breaking all day Saturday. I expect a lot of shoveling, winching and pulling. Good Times!!!
