From Gordon:

We aired up much farther up the road than usual due to the lack of snow at the lower elevation. We made a left at the end of Pliocene Ridge Rd onto 98, which I believe is also Banner Mine Rd. Gary, Tom, Ron, and Homer turned back at some point after being on 98 for a while.

Eric was driving a Toyota with great ground clearance and big tires, so he broke trail all the way until we were back on Henness Pass. Bob broke the last 6 or 7 miles back to the split where we started. The snow was deep, with a lot of big holes and off-camber areas, which made the run fun.

We finally made it back to the pavement around 7:00–7:30, I believe. Eric's dog ran past his rig and accidentally pulled the air hose off one of his tires, breaking the valve stem. He didn’t have a spare, so we took a sheet metal screw with some tire patch compound and inserted it into the broken valve. With a bit of work, we were able to keep air in the tire and get him home.
