This was a good trip through the Mendocino National Forest. Indian Valley Reservoir is nearly full and suprisingly calm with only a few side by sides running round. Vaughn definitely has experience. He and Patsy chose to bring their Ford F150 four door truck. Vaughn herded it along just fine on some narrow and rocky sections. We had the campground all to ourselves with the burbling creek running right past the tables.
Our planned return route was blocked by downed trees. We cleared several until we reached one that looked a bit large for our saws! So, backtracked and chose another route that brought us out to Elk Creek for a windy drive home through the valley.
