From Frosty:
8:00 to 9:00 am. Check In. We had check in all the rigs. Thank you Mike H for helping me with that.
8:50 am - Drivers Meeting. Anita had a nice little duck for the participants. Thank you Anita!
9:05 am. - Line up.
Pierce OHV part of the trail loop. Brian P was Trail Leader.
Participants got their feet wet so to speak with crossing the steam two times. Gil and Anita spotted the hard part of the uphill and to their surprise everyone made it up; even the Lexis made it look easy. We looped back to the staging area to regroup. All of the participants had big smiles on their faces.
Signal Peak part of the trail loop. Frosty was Trail Leader.
On the mountain at the tight spot was Reg who guided them perfectly as that is not an easy task. Further up the mountain Jim H. kept people from going into the meadow as Forestry Dept requested. He turned us right up the loose rock part of the trail with Homer on the bypass part and Ron D on the straight up harder part of the hill. Glad they could pick lines for the lower vehicles so that they could make it too.
We made it to the top of Signal Peak with spectacular views. We enjoyed our lunch, pointing out to the participants landmarks and lakes off in the distance. As we finished up and regrouped one of the families had gone for a hike so Brian and Ron waited for them. Going down the hill we met up with the spotters that stayed in their positions. It was easy down. Got to the bottom at about 3:00 pm.
We aired up. Just about all of the participants came up to me and thanked us. They appreciated that we took time with them and had good communication. They all said they had a good time. I mentioned to them that we host the Winter Fun Fest in Jan.
I would like to thank all of you for helping bring joy to the participants. Grass Valley 4 Wheelers you rock! I am proud to be apart of this group.
Also there was some participants with young people that where singing on the trail. It made me smile as a new generation was enjoying the outdoors.
