We arrived Thursday afternoon. Took a short ride up to Scotts Lake and out a new trail to Hwy 88.
Friday morning we explored the areas around Burnside Lake and Hawkins Peak. That afternoon we ran up to Crater Lake and took a new switchback trail down from the mine sites to Hwy 88.
Saturday we ran the Deer Valley Trail. We started from Hwy 4 and headed north to Blue Lakes. The trail was difficult and required some spotting, rock stacking and a strap on a vehicle high centered.
On Sunday morning Tom had a fuel leak from the top of his gas tank. We got it hitched to his RV and he headed home.
Sunday morning we headed up to Forestdale Divide. After lunch we headed to Topaz Lake.
Monday we ran to Mt. Paterson. We started on the east side at Sweet Water Ranch. Lunch was at the Belfort mine site. On the top the views where spectacular and no wind. Heading west the Aspen groves bellow Lobdell lake where at their peak color. That evening we had a pot luck dinner at Jim & Leslie's site. They made delicious pizza on their grill.
On Tuesday we took a drive up to Sonora Pass.
