We started out running Pierce OHV at about 8:45 and finished around 10:30 with no major issues; thank you to Gil and Brian for leading this section so I could build a map! Stopped briefly at staging for a rest break and headed up Signal Peak. No issues until the big rock. Had to move rocks to fill in large holes and the group spotted each other over the rock, which took some time. Stopped at the shady turnout to let the group catch up and have lunch. Continued up through the granite and evaluated the bypass for use during Sierra Trek as everyone made their way up the granite. A little work needs to be done out there to use the bypass during Trek, but Ron T made it through just fine in his rig! We ran into one very tiny leftover snowdrift, but made it to the top without further issue to enjoy some fantastic views!
Everyone did great and helped each other; this club is truly full of the best people!!
I am looking for a few more crew and getting in one more prerun before Trek to do some trail work if I can't get the Trek committee to send a group out to smooth out a few areas. Please let me know if you are interested in helping out!
