From Brandy (Aug 3, 2024 - Evening):

I cannot express to you how much I love and appreciate our club. We had a good turnout for trail work and everyone worked really, really hard moving rocks, cutting roots and branches, and moving more rocks. Did a pretty good job filling in the section around the big rock, but that really just needs a full overhaul. Considered felling a tree so we could block the requested area of the meadow, but that was really beyond our scope today. Checked out the trail most of the way to the top, and for the most part, it is in OK shape - pretty torn up, but passable.

Long day navigating traffic having to come back down to staging, but we made it work.

Little bit of damage to Jim G’s sway bar links, but Ron got him going again with a zip tie trail fix and everyone made it home safe.

Still looking for a couple of trail crew, if anyone wants to join. We have 21 rigs signed up and 6 total crew right now. Looking for a couple more folks I can have staged along the trail to spot on the way up.

From Brandy (Aug 3, 2024 - Morning):

Good morning!
If you are coming to help out on signal peak today (and I really hope we get a good turnout), we are meeting at the trailhead at 9am. It is sprinkling at my house right now, and there is a chance of thunderstorms today. Hoping the major rain holds off, but we’ll adapt as necessary and cut out early, if needed.  See you soon!

From Jim G to Brandy (Aug 3, 2024):

That was a terrific run today, very challenging indeed, and well worth the experience! Our club really came together when I broke my sway bar, disabled it, and got us back on the trail to do all that cleanup work. Had a real great day, thanks for the leadership!
