Gold Valley (Plan B for Sierra Trek Signal Peak Run)
We are planning a pre-run this coming Sunday, June 14, 2026. Meeting at Wendy’s for a 9AM departure. We want to ensure the trail is clear and to confirm this run is reasonable for Sierra Trek.
Please let Brandy know if you still want to crew. The day is quite a bit different than anticipated, so she will understand if you do not want to crew, but would appreciate the help, as always. Let her know if you are still up for it, and if you intend to join the pre-run on Sunday.

Good evening, Signal Peak Crew,
I was informed last week that due to repair work happening on Signal Peak this summer, we will not be able to use the trail for Sierra Trek. Brian and Gil threw around a few different ideas, and I believe we have a good plan in place to substitute Signal Peak with a run up at Gold Valley:
Sierra Trek Run will meet at Bassett's Station on Hwy 49 and Gold Lake Way. Go to Packer Saddle for air down on Packer Lake Road. There on dirt (15 PSI). Run ridges north then drop downhill past Little Dear Lake and join Gold Valley OHV trail for loop back to air down spot for air up and out. Trail has small rock sections requiring low gearing and limit slip. Tires 33" and up. Run will be on TNF legal OHV trails. From air down to air up should take about 5hrs.
